Synopsis 'JUSTICE (THE VERDICT)', The Battle of Reza Rahadian & Rio Dewanto

JUSTICE (THE VERDICT) is a drama-thriller film resulting from a collaboration between Indonesian and South Korean filmmakers. Directed by Lee Chang-hee along with Yusron Fuadi, this film brings a relevant theme that is close to society: law, corruption, and the struggle to seek the truth.

Before its release on November 20, 2025, MD Pictures released the official trailer via their YouTube channel. Rio Dewanto & Reza Rahadian are shown as the two main stars who are also one of the attractions of this film.

This film tells the story of Raka (Rio Dewanto) who celebrates his graduation from the bar exam with his wife, Nina (Niken Anjani), who is pregnant.

However, that happiness suddenly collapses when Raka finds Nina brutally murdered.

Raka's life is filled with anger and determination to find the perpetrator of his wife's murder (Elang El Gibran).

The perpetrator's father sends Timo (Reza Rahadian), a manipulative lawyer known for always finding ways for his clients to win.

The film JUSTICE is becoming increasingly special because it is the result of a rare Indonesia-Korea collaboration in the film industry. Directed by Lee Chang-hee and Yusron Fuadi, this film presents cross-country production standards that offer a different experience.

The shooting process took place over a full month in Indonesia. According to Rio Dewanto, the biggest challenge was communication because they had to use an interpreter, but this did not diminish the intensity of the production team's collaboration.
