SHUTTER is set to be released in cinemas across the country on October 30, 2025. This Indonesian remake of the Thai film of the same name from 2004 stars Vino G Bastian & Anya Geraldine. In its original version, Shutter was once referred to as one of the best Asian horror films at that time. Before its release, Falcon released a trailer on September 18, 2025.

Shutter tells the story of Darwin (Vino G. Bastian), a photographer whose life changes drastically after a car accident with his girlfriend, Pia (Anya Geraldine). They hit a mysterious woman.

Since then, Darwin has been haunted by terrifying shadows that appear in every photo he takes. The figure of the woman slowly enters their lives and brings terror.

Pia then tries to investigate the identity of the woman. It turns out that the woman is Lilies (Niken Anjani), an outstanding student who once studied at their campus.

As one by one Darwin's friends are killed, Pia is convinced that this is related to the 'sins' that Darwin committed in the past.

Vino G. Bastian is thrilled to be part of the remake of the Thai horror film. As an actor, he faces a challenging role in this film.

"I am happy to be involved and play a role in this film; I had to dig deeper into my emotions while facing quite intense horror scenes. I hope the audience can enjoy the remake of Shutter and feel the tension it brings," said Vino G. Bastian as quoted by Liputan6.

Meanwhile, filmmaker Herwin Novianto promises that the Indonesian version of Shutter will be crafted with a new touch, plus presenting a strong local cultural nuance. For him, Shutter is not just a ghost story.

"It's about how the secrets of the past can become a burden that haunts us, even when we try to forget them. I want the audience to feel the tension and emotional dilemmas experienced by the characters," said Herwin Novianto.
