According to Victor, MERAH PUTIH ONE FOR ALL has successfully attracted attention because it follows the phenomenal film JUMBO, which achieved its own milestones as an animated film.Â
"The interesting thing is that this appeared after the phenomenon of the film JUMBO, right? The film JUMBO is really fascinating. It is the highest-grossing film in a country and that film is an animated film," he said during an online interview with Kapanlagi's editorial team on Monday (12/8).
"That is something very unique, not every country can do that. Now, because of its animation, the animated film JUMBO is very popular, so the following animated films will also be highlighted, one of which is MERAH PUTIH ONE FOR ALL," he continued.
Furthermore, Victor mentioned that the virality of the film MERAH PUTIH ONE FOR ALL is influenced by many factors, one of which is the power of the internet and netizens.
"Actually, there are many aspects. Many were surprised, many did not expect it to be released in theaters, because previously there was no teaser, no production announcement," said Victor.
Victor then compared it to the animated film MY STUPID BOSS. That film had announced its cast and released teasers long before its premiere.
"For example, the latest one, MY STUPID BOSS, created an animation series. Before the launch, there was a teaser from the cast," he said.
Not only that, the fact that the filmmakers are not very popular is also one of the factors. "The next one is from a studio that I think is not very well-known, but can still make it to theaters. Well, that’s what made it lively," he concluded.
