Mahakarya Pictures has finally released the trailer for RAINBOW ON MARS on February 13, 2026. RAINBOW ON MARS is a family adventure film that fully combines live-action and 3D animation. The film is scheduled to be released in cinemas across the country during Eid 2026.

For your information, RAINBOW ON MARS is produced using a hybrid approach, a technique that is still rarely used in Indonesian filmmaking. Rainbow on Mars stars a cross-generational cast including Messi Gusti, Myesha Lin Adeeva, Lutesha, Livy Renata, and Rio Dewanto. All of these actors portray human characters who interact with animated robot characters that are an important part of the Rainbow's journey.

Some of the robot characters that appear include Batik, Sulil, Kimchi, Yoman, and Petya. In the teaser, these robots are depicted as Pelangi's loyal partners in carrying out a major mission on Mars.

Pelangi on Mars tells the story of Pelangi (Messi Gusti), a 12-year-old child who was born and raised on Mars. He is the first human to grow up on that planet. Since birth, Pelangi (Messi Gusti) has never set foot on Earth.

His life is filled only with the solitude of Mars, old technology that is nearly dead, and faint memories of the human colony that once lived there. Eventually, the colony decides to return to Earth, including his mother, a scientist named Pratiwi (Lutesha).

One day, Pelangi discovers something unexpected, a group of old robots that are still active despite appearing damaged and worn out. This encounter becomes a turning point in Pelangi's life.
