The hype of the film DI AMBANG KEMATIAN is still hot, MVP Pictures has announced their next horror film that will be released soon titled KERETA BERDARAH. On Wednesday (18/10/2023), MVP Pictures uploaded the official teaser of their next horror film titled KERETA BERDARAH on various social media platforms. Many netizens responded to the teaser by commenting on the similarity between the film KERETA BERDARAH and the phenomenal zombie film from Korea, TRAIN TO BUSAN (2016). 

An account of a film enthusiast on X (Twitter) with the username @WatchmenID reposted the teaser while commenting, “it's exciting, it has the vibe of Train To Busan, not zombies but demons,” he wrote. 

Some netizens on Instagram who commented on MVP Pictures' official Instagram also had the same opinion.

This film is directed by Rizal Mantovani, who previously directed the films KUNTILANAK and JELANGKUNG and the release date is still kept secret. Considering that the film DI AMBANG KEMATIAN is still haunting Indonesian cinemas, it is likely that the film KERETA BERDARAH will need to wait for some time before it is released. 1. Film Synopsis

As the title suggests, this film highlights a horror incident set on a train. The film tells the story of a series of terrifying tragedies experienced by the passengers of the Sangkara Train. 

The chilling tragedy begins when the train enters a dark tunnel. As the train enters the tunnel, one by one, train cars start disappearing and the passengers are also terrorized by the creatures inhabiting the train, leading to loss of lives.

Based on the newly released teaser, this horror film is starred by several famous actors and actresses as well as newcomers. There is Emil Kusumo who has appeared in the films TILL DEATH DO US APART (2021) and PERBURUAN (2019), and Agnes Naomi Shivapriya who has appeared in the films DEAR DAVID (2023) and BEBAS (2019). In addition to Emil and Agnes, there are also several other cast members, including Yama Carlos, Putri Ayudya, Zara Leola, Ruth Marini, Sahira Anjani, Patty Angelica Sandya, Totos Rasiti, and Fadly Faisal.

3. Title Change

Film played by Fadly Faisal was previously planned to be released with a different title. Like the name of the train that became the backdrop of this film, namely Kereta Api Sangkara, this film produced by MVP Pictures was previously titled SANGKARA.

Seen from the video uploaded by MVP Pictures Id on Facebook a year ago, precisely on December 13, 2022, the production team along with the cast held a production celebration for the film titled SANGKARA.

“Celebration of the latest film production by MVP Pictures: Sangkara. Curious, what is Sangkara about? Wait for further updates here!,” wrote the official Facebook account of MVP Pictures.

In addition, some film enthusiasts also noticed the title change after the teaser for KERETA BERDARAH was released.

“Ohh.. no wonder the official title was changed to 'Kereta Berdarah', directed by Rizal Mantovani,” wrote @dim*** in the YouTube comments section of the teaser for KERETA BERDARAH.

A Facebook page for film enthusiasts named Moviezy responded to netizens' comments that considered the title KERETA BERDARAH less appealing, as follows,

“While this film was being produced, the title used was 'Sangkara', but because it seemed less common and no one understood what Sangkara was, it became Kereta Berdarah, which seemed easier to understand for the target audience,” wrote the page with 151 thousand followers.
