WeTV Officially Collaborates with Trans Corp, Aims to Advance the Domestic Film Industry

Kapanlagi.com - Two years after its release in Indonesia, WeTV has successfully become a popular video on demand platform, especially among Asian drama lovers. And now, the international video streaming platform from Tencent Video has announced a collaboration with TRANS TV, a CT Corp business unit in the field of media, lifestyle, and entertainment.

This strategic move is a form of WeTV's commitment to support the growth of the entertainment industry in Indonesia. The collaboration between WeTV and TRANS TV involves the provision of quality entertainment content from WeTV to be aired on TRANSMEDIA's TV channel, Trans TV.

First and foremost, the title that will be aired is WeTV Original Cinta Fitri. This series, starring Tissa Biani and Rizky Nazar, can be watched through Trans TV starting from November 15, 2021. In addition to WeTV Original, several other top-notch WeTV contents will also be aired, including popular dramas from China.

Since 2020, WeTV has collaborated with several local production houses in Indonesia, starting to produce local content. WeTV Original "My Lecturer My Husband" is one of the titles that initiated the WeTV Original segment and received tremendous response from viewers in Indonesia. Currently, the new title "Little Mom" which has been airing since September 10 has received the MURI award as the most trending Indonesian web series in the most countries (22 countries).

In 2021, WeTV Indonesia has aired 19 original content titles that are included in WeTV's local production. This is an extraordinary step during the pandemic that is bravely taken by WeTV. Amidst movement restrictions and strict health protocols, WeTV is persistent and productive, proving how serious WeTV is in the Indonesian market.
