The film MICKEY 17 is a science fiction film set to be released on January 31, 2025. Directed and produced by Bong Joon-ho, this film stars the renowned handsome actor, Robert Pattinson.
The film, adapted from the novel by Edward Ashton titled MICKEY 7, tells the story of Mickey Barnes, a disposable employee who is given a dangerous mission, including exploring outer space.
Mickey Barnes, who is given the code name Mickey7, will be reborn into a new body with intact memories if he dies during the mission. When he dies, his clone will be activated with mostly intact memories and will continuously repeat the same mission.
This film's trailer also showcases the depiction of the experiments that Mickey will undergo. He will become the subject of an experiment on a newly discovered ice planet by humanity.
However, there is a system error that creates two Mickeys simultaneously, leading to conflicts that arise while carrying out the mission.
In the experiment, the clones that multiply are referred to as Multiples. The trailer video continues by featuring Mark Ruffalo as Marshal, who appears to explain a rule that every individual experiencing Multiples must be eliminated.
In the final scene of the trailer video, the situation becomes increasingly chaotic as the multiple Mickeys start killing each other and causing a commotion in the company.
