'ALICE IN BORDERLAND' Confirmed for Season 3, Arisu and Usagi Will Get Married?

Netflix surprised the public by announcing the continuation of the series ALICE IN BORDERLAND for season 3. Many thought that the series, which features sadistic game plays, had ended in season 2, which aired in 2022. The public believed that the ending of season 2 was well-packaged, so the question of what the continuation of the story in season 3 would be like still haunts them.

On Wednesday (27/9/2023), the news of the release of season 3 was announced by Netflix Indonesia's official Instagram account, presenting a neatly arranged deck of cards. The public was invited to solve the hidden message behind the 10 playing cards. Then, on Thursday (28/9/2023), the account released another short video showing the joker card as well as the announcement of the continuation of ALICE IN BORDERLAND for season 3.

Until now, the public is still curious about what will happen in season 3 of ALICE IN BORDERLAND. One of the attractions of this manga adaptation series by Haro Aso is the cast, who are not only good-looking but also skilled in delving into their roles. The main character, a handsome Japanese actor who has starred in many films named Kento Yamazaki, always manages to capture everyone's attention. Other cast members such as Tao Tsuchiya, Nijiro Murakami, Aya Asahina, and many more also have a special place in the hearts of their respective viewers. 

Fortunately, Netflix has delivered the happy news that the two main cast members, Kento Yamazaki and Tao Tsuchiya, will return for ALICE IN BORDERLAND 3. At the APOS conference in Bali, Minyoung Kim, Vice President of Content at Netflix, said, "With Kento Yamazaki and Tao Tsuchiya reprising their roles as Arisu and Usagi in season 3, fans can expect to witness the evolution of their characters in the always dangerous Borderland world."  Minyoung stated.

One of the important figures behind the success of the series ALICE IN BORDERLAND is undoubtedly the director, Shinsuke Sato. Born in 1970, this director has produced many incredible films such as KINGDOM, DEATH NOTE: LIGHT UP THE NEW WORLD, GANTZ, INUYASHIKI, and many more, including the ALICE IN BORDERLAND series from season 1. 

Netflix has confirmed that Shinsuke Sato will return to direct ALICE IN BORDERLAND 3, “Sato's continuation as the director will ensure that the series maintains its intensity and cinematic excellence, which are its trademarks.” 

3. Next Story Prediction

ALICE IN BORDERLAND 2 ended with a scene where the players successfully returned to the real world after completing the final game, which was the croquet game. When they returned to the real world, none of them remembered the horrific events that took place in the Borderland world. 

Although the players ultimately managed to survive, the series concluded with a scene of strong winds blowing away all the playing cards except for the joker card. The joker card becomes an implied message indicating that the game will continue. Therefore, in ALICE IN BORDERLAND 3, Arisu and Usagi, along with other players, are likely to compete in an even more terrifying game. It is possible that they will play the Nine of Hearts game again, as depicted in the original manga sequel titled ALICE IN BORDERLAND RETRY, as a condition to return to the real world. By this time, Arisu and Usagi have become a married couple.
