AVATAR: FIRE AND ASH continues the story of Jake Sully and Neytiri's family after the events of "Avatar: The Way of Water", where they are still mourning the death of their son, Neteyam. The Sully family, now living with the Metkayina clan, must face a new, darker, and more dangerous threat.

This film introduces a new Na'vi clan known as the "Ash People" or Mangkwan, who live near an active volcano and have a different relationship with nature compared to other Na'vi clans. The Mangkwan clan is depicted as an aggressive tribe, fire worshippers, and often conducts raids, led by Varang, played by Oona Chaplin.
