Due to the Covid-19 outbreak, the filming process of the film Cheverly Amalia in America had to be postponed

Kapanlagi.com - The Covid-19 pandemic undeniably hampers the productivity of workers in the film industry. This is also experienced by the multi-talented artist Cheverly Amalia who is currently in the process of making a film titled THE 3RD GUEST in America.

This film production should have been completed by the end of 2019. However, due to several reasons, the director felt unsatisfied with the filming results and decided to redo some scenes.

"Yes, during the filming, the weather was still cold and sometimes it snowed unexpectedly, which was not expected in this film. That's why we need to do re-shoots," said Cheverly, who serves as a producer in the film THE 3RD GUEST to KapanLagi.com in a conversation via WhatsApp, on Saturday (28/3).

1. Delayed Shooting Until When

Unfortunately, since the beginning of this year, the Covid-19 pandemic or corona virus has spread worldwide, including in America. Therefore, the reshooting process cannot be carried out for the time being. Even Cheverly had to cancel her schedule to visit KapanLagi.com's office.

"Is that so? Not only the production that has to be postponed, but it's also a bit difficult for us to meet, right? But it's okay, we can still communicate through WA-voice," said Cheverly, who has been living in Los Angeles since 2015.

2. No Indonesian Artists Involved

The film THE 3RD GUEST is directed by Sean Patrick Cannon and stars Clint Carmichael, Chelsea O'Toole, Andrea M Anderson, Joseph Lopez, Nikki Kris, Terumi Shimazu, Logal laurel, Matthew Clark, Annette Gromala, and Stephanie Pascaris. Cheverly admitted that there are no Indonesian artists involved in this film except herself.

"So if it involves Indonesian people, it feels like only me and even then behind the scenes as the producer," added the woman who previously released the films MR. DOWNCAST and THE BLACKOUT.

Cheverly also gave a hint about the story of THE 3RD GUEST to KapanLagi.com. "The life of a married couple who are facing problems, in the midst of their journey, their child dies. That's the global story. If I give too many spoilers, it's too much," said Cheverly.

3. Messy Schedule, Difficult to Meet Family

In addition to the shooting process, the corona virus outbreak has also disrupted Cheverly's schedule in Indonesia. Many important meetings had to be postponed, even meeting with family is extremely difficult.

"So, even though the meetings have been planned for a long time, it turns out that in Jakarta, I can only meet a few clients, the rest have to be postponed and who knows until when. Yes, because of the spread of Covid-19," she said.

"Meeting with beloved relatives and dear friends is also not going smoothly. Communication is limited to WhatsApp or video calls. But what can we do, the condition is like this," Cheverly concluded.
