The film EXIT 8, directed by Japanese director Kawamura Genki, will be featured at the Busan International Film Festival (BIFF) 2025. Drawing from the concept of a popular video game with a psychological horror atmosphere, this film traps the audience in an underground corridor filled with anomalies. A man known as The Lost Man, played by Kazunari Ninomiya, is in a seemingly ordinary underground corridor of a train station.

However, he suddenly realizes that the corridor is filled with oddities, as if he is passing through it repeatedly without an end. The strangeness intensifies when he encounters The Walking Man, played by Yamato Kochi.

The figure of The Walking Man always passes by but appears unresponsive, adding to the mystery and fear of the situation. His minimal dialogue presence triggers fear and uncertainty for The Lost Man, causing his asthma to flare up.

In the end, The Lost Man realizes that the writing on the exit door has changed from "Exit 0" to "Exit 1". He also discovers a rule: if he sees something strange or an anomaly, he must immediately turn back. If not, he may continue. However, any small mistake will send him back to the beginning.

When following the instructions, the number on the exit door increased to "Exit 1". But when he ignored an anomaly, the writing changed back to "Exit 0".

In the middle of the journey, anomalies kept appearing suddenly, ranging from changing posters, mysterious blood, unexpected baby cries, to tsunami sirens, making it difficult for him to distinguish between reality and illusion.

Nana Komatsu appears as a woman who is The Lost Man's girlfriend. Her presence intensifies the psychological pressure, especially since she once appeared as one of the anomalies that deceived The Lost Man.
