MovieTalk 'SPIDER-MAN NO WAY HOME': Peter Parker Forged Into Adulthood Through Multiverse Disaster

Peter Parker, aka Spider-Man, is truly struck by lightning in broad daylight. His secret identity is revealed to the public by Mysterio (watch FAR FROM HOME).

Peter immediately skyrocketed as the most famous person in the world. However, famous in a negative sense, as he is highlighted as the murderer of Mysterio.

The romance he hoped to experience with MJ (Zendaya) finally vanished. Peter has to escape the pursuit of the press and the public who are hunting him.

SPIDER-MAN NO WAY HOME starts with the question "How can Peter Parker solve these new problems?" From leaked identity, dealing with the law for being accused of killing Mysterio, to how he and the people around him can move on with their lives?

Tom Holland's version of Spider-Man always brings Marvel characters as 'mentors'. From Iron Man, Nick Fury, to now Doctor Strange. With the help of Doctor Strange's magic, Peter feels confident that he will solve all his problems. But it's not that simple. Doctor Strange's spell will trigger a major event in Peter's life.

The presence of villains from various eras (or multiverses) of Spider-Man is one of the highlights of the film. Nostalgia is definitely there. Satisfying the fans? Absolutely. However, their presence plays an important role in the overall story of the film. Just a spoiler, Tom Holland revealed to Kapanlagi that the fight scene between Spider-Man and Doc Ock in NO WAY HOME is his favorite. 

In a panel attended by Willem Dafoe (Green Goblin), Alfred Molina (Doc Ock), and Jamie Foxx (Electro), it was mentioned that there will be one Spider-Man enemy who is truly terrifying and dangerous here. 

Peter, Ned, and MJ are then tasked with gathering these multiverse travelers. Eventually, they will be returned to their original worlds. 

In an interview with Kapanlagi, Jamie Foxx mentioned that these enemies have a new motivation different from their previous version. This adds more complexity to the story.

There will be many spectacular action scenes in this film. Some of them will be mind-blowing.

One interesting point of the film is the dynamics between Peter and Doctor Strange. The tug of war and debates between them will be scene stealers.

Spider-Man's new costume with its various advanced features will be showcased in the film. Tom Holland referred to the battle scene between him and Doc Ock as "arm against arm."

In this third film, Peter Parker will face the process of self-maturation with all the complex problems that arise. Not to mention the multiverse disaster that lies ahead.
