Netflix Acquires Chinese Fantasy Film 'THE YIN-YANG MASTER: DREAM OF ETERNITY'

Kapanlagi.com - Netflix adds a fantasy film titled THE YIN-YANG MASTER: DREAM OF ETERNITY to its collection of Chinese commercial films. The film is directed by Guo Jingmin and will premiere on Netflix on February 5, 2021. This film is an adaptation of the Japanese novelist Baku Yumemakura Onmyoji, who is well-known for producing many adaptations of comic books, TV shows, films, and video games throughout Asia.

This film is produced by Hehe Pictures, ZUI, Thinkingdom Pictures, Shanghai Film Group with government support, and Black Ant Film. The acquisition deal for this film was negotiated by Netflix with Clement Magar, GM Fortissimo Films, who handles international sales for the title. Guo Jingming, the director of this film, is famous for the film TINY TIMES, which earned 4.2 trillion IDR in China. The film is also an adaptation of a Chinese story.

1. Synopsis

THE YIN-YANG MASTER: DREAM OF ETERNITY tells the story of the four best Yin-Yang masters in China. One day they were called to the capital to kill the snake demon, the strongest demon on earth that rises every 100 years. Meanwhile, a conspiracy between the princess and the royal guard chief is revealed, who desires the immortal life of the demon. This film will be starred by Mark Chao, Allen Deng, Olivia Wang, and Jessie Li.

Guo Jingming is famous for his film sequel titled TINY TIMES which is quite popular in China. Guo Jingmin also wrote and directed the film, starting from TINY TIME 1 until the fourth film, he earned more than Rp 4.2 trillion. In addition to being a director, he is also a writer. Jingming is one of the famous writers in China. He wrote a novel titled Sad Regurgitation' and sold more than one million copies.
