Synopsis of 'CANVAS', Tells the Story of a Grandfather Who Rediscovers His Passion for Painting

Abney, who previously served as an executive producer in the animated film HAIR LOVE. The film has achieved success and won an Academy Award for Best Animated Short Film. 1. Synopsis

CANVAS tells the story of an old grandfather who tries to find inspiration to paint again. He has gone through a difficult period that has made him unable to paint anymore. However, one day his granddaughter visits his house. While looking for a fallen writing tool, she accidentally discovers a messy secret room. There he found a painting covered in cloth, as he enjoyed the painting he was surprised by the presence of his grandfather. Will his grandfather be able to find his passion for painting again?

Although this film is minimal in dialogue, it does not prevent the audience from feeling the emotions presented. Through detailed visuals, the audience is able to feel the implied moments and sadness.
