Because of the new environment, Beth had to think of ways to be able to play chess. That's where the journey of Beth in the world of chess began.

Set in the 1950s, this series depicts a time filled with sexism issues. Where almost everything revolves around men, in such a situation, the character Beth fights for how women don't care about the circumstances.

In the film, she doesn't understand how people make a big deal out of gender and what it has to do with someone's freedom. In addition, the character Beth also successfully shows how gender equality should be. Because of her bravery to speak up and act, the message is that gender does not dictate what steps can be taken and what should be done.
