Netflix Announces Development of Sequel to 'ONE TREE HILL' Series

Netflix will develop a sequel to the series ONE TREE HILL, with production handled by Warner Bros and Television, which also produced the original series. So far, no further information regarding the airing schedule or other details has been announced by either Netflix or Warner Bros. Television has also not provided additional comments regarding this project.

According to reports from Variety, Sophia Bush and Hilarie Burton, known for their roles as lead characters Brooke Davis and Peyton Sawyer, will be involved in this sequel as executive producers and will reprise their iconic characters.

Additionally, Danneel Ackles, who played Rachel Gatina, is also confirmed to be involved in this project. She will serve as an executive producer through her company Chaos Machine, which she runs with her husband, Jensen Ackles. Becky Hartman-Edwards, known for her work on FIREFLY LANE and PARENTHOOD, will write the screenplay and also be an executive producer for this sequel.
