Thousands or even tens of thousands of Japanese pop culture enthusiasts (anime, game, cosplayers) filled the Kuala Lumpur Convention Center, December 20-21, 2019.

In this annual event, cosplayers can express their creativity in choosing costumes and makeup resembling game and anime characters.

To make it more exciting, cosplaying is best done in groups. One of the groups that performed exceptionally was the Boku Hero no Academia cosplayer team.

Sony Pictures also livened up Comic Fiesta 2019 by presenting a special panel for their latest film, THE GRUDGE. This new installment will be released in Indonesian cinemas on December 31.

Unknown to the young people who filled the hall panel of THE GRUDGE, Sony has already invited the Kayako squad (ghost in JU ON) to surprise the whole hall.

When the panel session started, dozens of Kayako immediately stormed the stage accompanied by a horror music score that made the heart beat.

Lin Shaye and Nicholas Pesce greeted the audience and immersed themselves in an exciting Q&A session.

John Cho sent a video apology for not being able to attend the panel. Instead, he prepared two special clips of THE GRUDGE for the audience. Cheers followed after the clips were played.

"Did any mystical experiences happen during filming?" Unfortunately, both Nic and Lin Shaye answered that nothing happened. "Even if it did, I would be very disappointed because it would disrupt the film production process," he joked.

Filipino influencer, Prince De Guzman, along with his wife, wore a shirt with a picture of Lin Shaye. They both admitted to being big fans of Lin Shaye.

The Kayako ghosts who were wandering earlier are now kind-hearted and willing to take photos with Lin and Nic.

Fifty lucky visitors had the opportunity for a fans signing poster artwork of THE GRUDGE. Lin really enjoyed this moment.
