GODZILLA X KONG: THE NEW EMPIRE, the latest film from the successful Monsterverse franchise has just released its newest trailer. Citing the YouTube account of Warner Bros. Pictures, the trailer released on Monday (4/12/2023) features the continuation of the epic story from the film GODZILLA VS. KONG (2021).

Not only that, the trailer also features interesting things that have never appeared in previous sequels, as well as those that have appeared in previous sequels. Starting from the presence of a new villain who is touted as the strongest in the monster universe to the latest appearance of Godzilla.

Moreover, GODZILLA X KONG: THE NEW EMPIRE will featurean epic collaboration between Kong and Godzilla. Both must work together to defeat a new threat to the Titan world.

This released trailer has attracted a lot of attention from film lovers, especially the Godzilla and Kong franchises. What are they? Find out more below!

In the beginning of the trailer, Pyramid is shown as the first background when the first explosion from underground is revealed. If in previous franchises the location was mistakenly Hong Kong, it is possible that in GODZILLA X KONG: THE NEW EMPIRE, it is located in Egypt and also Brazil, as the famous Brazilian icon is also shown in the circulating poster. Additionally, the trailer shows Brazil as the place attacked by Scar King.

Kong appears fresher and with an axe made from Godzilla's fin. He still uses the axe to survive in Hollow Earth.

A new and interesting character that has emerged is 'Baby' Kong. It has orange fur, and this 'Baby' Kong character is still gray.

The new villain that Kong and Godzilla will face is Scar King. Scar King appears to have characteristics similar to a typical gorilla, but appears more slender than Kong.

The Kong species, apparently not extinct, in the movie KONG: SKULL ISLAND at least shows the audience that the Kong species has become extinct, but it turns out that the Kong species is not completely extinct. This group is led by Scar King and possibly lives under pressure.

Scar King becomes the strongest and most dangerous villain that Kong and Godzilla will face. Scar King's physique is different from Kong, if Kong is a gorilla, Scar King is more like an orangutan.

Next, Godzilla is shown still sleeping in an ice crystal. Well, unlike Kong, Godzilla brings changes in his character.

If previously Godzilla spewed blue-colored breath, in GODZILLA X KONG: THE NEW EMPIRE, Godzilla appears with pink color from its tail to the spines on its back and the breath that comes out of its mouth.

Not only that, this film will also uncover the mystery of Skull Island, which is Kong's home. A mystical battle will be the main story of this film.
