'SUNRISE ON THE REAPING': A New Face in the Hunger Games World That Will Be More Intense and Emotional

The latest prequel film from the THE HUNGER GAMES universe, SUNRISE ON THE REAPING, is set to greet fans on November 20, 2026. Set 24 years before the story of Katniss Everdeen, this film will highlight the story of a young Haymitch Abernathy during the 50th Hunger Games, also known as the Second Quarter Quell. This film is adapted from Suzanne Collins' latest novel released in March 2025, and once again directed by Francis Lawrence, promising emotional depth and intense action in the world of Panem.
