This latest sequel tells the story of a group of teenagers: Danica (Madelyn Cline), Eva (Chase Sui Wonders), Tyler (Gabbriette Bechtel), Max (Tyriq Withers), and Jonah (Jonah Hauer-King) who cause a fatal accident resulting in casualties. They then agree to dispose of the victim's body and cover up the incident.
However, a year later, their dark secret begins to unravel. A mysterious terror suddenly comes to haunt and threaten their lives. In order to save themselves, they seek help from Julie James (Jennifer Love Hewitt) and Ray Bronson (Freddie Prinze Jr.), who are survivors of a similar story from before.
For your information, Jennifer Love Hewitt and Freddie Prinze Jr. are the original cast members from the prequel film released back in 1997.
