'JODOH 3 BUJANG' Coming Soon, A Struggle Film in Search of a Match Set Against Makassar Culture

2. Challenges of Actors Outside Makassar Culture

This film stars Jourdy Pranata, Aisha Nurra Datau, Maizura, Christoffer Nelwan, Barbie Arzetta, Rey Bong, Elsa Japasal, Arswendy Bening Swara, Cut Mini, Nugie, Iwan Coy, Zakaribo, Le Roy Osmany, Nunu Datau, Musdalifah Basri, Arla Ailani, Hery Chan, Syamsul, Zulkifli, and others.

Some of these stars have Makassar blood, so their accent and language can bring Makassar culture to life. However, some of the stars do not have Makassar blood, which presents a challenge to learn the Makassar language and accent.

"For friends who are outside Makassar culture, we are given the privilege to learn the accent and language for three weeks, alongside reading the script. Moreover, we have the privilege that the director, co-director, and the main actors are from Makassar, so we are given the freedom to ask anything about the improvisation," said Jourdy Pranata.
