His presence at the Coffee Break with Festival Guest and Media event held by Jakarta World Cinema (JWC) 2025 on Saturday (28/9) at CGV Lounge, Grand Indonesia, was a special moment for him to interact directly with the Indonesian public.
At the event that took place at 14:30 WIB, Nawapol sat alongside Festival Director Shandy Gasella, Programming Director Daniel Irawan, and two other international directors, Jing Yi (China) and Mehrnoush Alia (Iran–United States). They shared experiences regarding their latest works and impressions of the enthusiasm of the Jakarta audience, which was described as extraordinary.

"I am very touched to see the enthusiasm of the audience in Jakarta. In fact, five screenings of the film HUMAN RESOURCE sold out in just a short time when the JWC ticket presale opened. It was a very valuable experience for me as a filmmaker," said Nawapol.
Not only that, Nawapol also expressed his gratitude to Indonesian fans who have supported his works all this time.
"I know that my previous films have been widely watched by the Indonesian audience. Therefore, I feel this is the right moment to finally meet them directly at the Jakarta World Cinema. Thank you for the tremendous support," he continued.
Festival Director Shandy Gasella also welcomed this enthusiasm. He noted that the Jakarta audience indeed has high energy and curiosity towards international films.
"I hope this experience leaves a good impression for the filmmakers, because the energy and curiosity of the Jakarta audience is truly amazing," said Shandy in his remarks.

Chinese director Jing Yi and Iranian–American director Mehrnoush Alia also attended to share their views on the film industry in their respective countries. Jing Yi highlighted the support from the Chinese government that allows local filmmakers to break into the international stage, while Mehrnoush assessed that JWC holds an important position in the map of the world film festival as it is able to present the best films without having to go to Europe.
For Nawapol, this moment became one of the valuable experiences in his career journey. He referred to Jakarta World Cinema as a festival that can bring together filmmakers with an audience that truly appreciates their work.
