Recently, Netflix released a horror thriller titled DON'T MOVE, which has immediately topped the charts since its release on October 25, 2024. The film features a small cast, but the quality acting from actors like Kelsey Asbille, Finn Wittrock, and Daniel Francis makes it worth watching. They engage the audience in a thrilling story about a woman trying to escape from a killer.

DON'T MOVE tells the story of Iris (played by Kelsey Asbille), a young woman struggling to survive in the woods while being chased by a serial killer (Finn Wittrock). The tension escalates as the killer injects a mysterious compound into Iris's body, which will paralyze her entire body in 20 minutes. Iris must run, hide, and survive before her body is completely paralyzed.

This film is produced by the famous Sam Raimi, who is behind several popular films such as THE EVIL DEAD (2013), A SIMPLE PLAN (1998), the trilogy SPIDER-MAN (2002-2007), DOCTOR STRANGE (2016), and DOCTOR STRANGE IN THE MULTIVERSE OF MADNESS (2022).

Filming DON'T MOVE took place in Bulgaria last summer, and the production successfully obtained special permission from SAG-AFTRA to continue despite the Hollywood strike.

Initially, Raimi as the producer was worried that the role of Iris, who had to move as little as possible in most scenes, might bore the audience.

To address Raimi's concerns, directors Brian Netto and Adam Schindler presented the story DON'T MOVE in a real-time concept, which makes the film create a sensation that increasingly binds the audience in the real fear experienced by Iris.

Schindler and Netto collaborated with writers T.J. Cimfel and David White, who previously wrote the script for the horror film SHUT IN (2022). They worked on each scene to create an increasingly grim atmosphere, and the situations faced by Iris became more and more harrowing. At every turn, Iris is confronted with situations that force her to think quickly and act decisively.

Schindler also revealed that they intentionally "trap the character" in various situations to build the audience's curiosity about how Iris can escape the dangers threatening her.
