10 K-Pop Groups with the Busiest Schedules Throughout 2022, Engaging in Thousands of Activities from Start to Finish of the Year

Many K-Pop groups were finally able to meet their fans in person for the first time. Not only did they return to filming music shows, but they were also able to tour the world again.

In connection with this, a "go-to" app for K-Pop schedules and updates named Blip compiled a list of the busiest groups in 2022. Here is a summary of the groups' activities in 2022 and the number of activities recorded throughout the year. Let's take a look!

1. Stray Kids

This year Stray Kids was busy with two comebacks in Korea and one comeback in Japan, performing at award shows and variety shows, as well as embarking on their second world tour, MANIAC, along with many other schedules in between.

Recently, Stray Kids also released a new compilation album, SKZ-Replay, and are preparing for an encore performance in 2023 to conclude the MANIAC world tour. The group had 960 schedules recorded throughout the year 2022.

2. ATEEZ

ATEEZ is holding two world tours this year, namely The Fellowship: Beginning of the End and The Fellowship: Break the Wall. They are performing at several K-Pop festivals, releasing two mini albums in Japanese, releasing their ninth mini album, and performing at year-end award shows.

But that's just a glimpse of ATEEZ's busy schedule as the most prominent 4th generation group in 2022. They are currently preparing for their comeback SPIN OFF: FROM THE WITNESS on December 30. ATEEZ has 970 scheduled events recorded throughout 2022.

3. (G)I-DLE

(G)I-DLE had an amazing year with two consecutive hit releases, where they released their first album, I Never Die, and the mini album, I Love. In 2022, Miyeon also made her solo debut with the mini album MY.

(G)I-DLE held their first world tour, Just Me ( )I-DLE, and also performed at various K-Pop music festivals and variety shows while releasing their own content. (G)I-DLE has 974 scheduled events recorded throughout 2022.

4. PENTAGON

PENTAGON released their 12th mini album, In:vite U, and held the PENTAGON’s Private Party fan meeting in April. The group released a new Japanese mini album in September and performed at several music festivals.

Kino officially became the first member of PENTAGON to make a solo debut with his special single, Pose. PENTAGON has 975 scheduled events recorded throughout 2022.

5. ITZY

ITZY also had a very busy year, where they released two Korean mini albums, two Japanese mini albums, and their first English single.

Along with all the new music released, this 4th generation group also held their first world tour, Checkmate, and performed at various festivals and year-end award shows. ITZY has 1,058 scheduled events recorded throughout 2022.

6. SF9

SF9 started this year with four performances for their solo concert Live Fantasy 3: IMPERFECT. They released one mini album in Korean this year and one compilation album in Japanese.

The group performed at HallyuPopFest London 2022 and the Asia Song Festival 2022. SF9 held a five-city tour in the United States in November and December while preparing for their comeback in January 2023. SF9 has 1,140 scheduled events recorded throughout 2022.

7. SEVENTEEN

SEVENTEEN released an English single, Darl+ing, their fourth album, Face The Sun, a repackage of their fourth album, and a mini album in Japanese. The group also released their first film, SEVENTEEN Power of Love: The Movie, featuring concert clips, interviews, and exclusive behind-the-scenes moments.

Not only that, SEVENTEEN also held a fan meeting in Japan and continued their third world tour, Be the Sun. SEVENTEEN has 1,212 scheduled events recorded throughout 2022.

8. BTOB

Hyunsik and Sungjae completed their mandatory military service at the end of 2021, allowing BTOB to reunite as a six-member group for the first time in three years. As a complete group, they released their third album, Be Together, and recently announced a 10th-anniversary concert to be held on December 30, 31, and January 1, 2023.

Minhyuk (HUTA) made his solo comeback with his album BOOM and held a sold-out solo concert in July. The members also kept busy with their individual schedules. BTOB had 1,220 scheduled activities recorded throughout 2022.

9. Super Junior

Super Junior has an impressive amount of activities for a second-generation group, and this is related to the success of its members both together and individually. The group released a special single album, The Road: Winter for Spring, in February and their eleventh full album, The Road: Keep on Going, in July.

Super Junior joined the KAMP LA 2022 lineup and showcased their professionalism and true personalities by engaging with fans at an event that faced issues from the organizers. They also continued their sixth world tour, Super Show 9: Road, and joined fellow SM Entertainment artists in four SMTOWN LIVE 2022 performances. Super Junior had 1,619 scheduled activities recorded throughout 2022.

10. NCT

NCT had the busiest schedule recorded in 2022, with NCT 127 and NCT DREAM each making a comeback. NCT 127 became the first NCT unit to hold a dome tour in Japan, featuring five sold-out shows for Neo City: Japan – The Link. The group also performed Neo City – The Link in the Philippines and Singapore, two shows in the United States, two in Korea, two in Indonesia, and three in Thailand. Along with the tour, they also released their fourth album, 2 Baddies.

On the other hand, NCT DREAM released their second full-length album Glitch Mode and the repackage version Beatbox. NCT DREAM held The Dream Show 2: In A Dream tour and released a concert film, NCT Dream The Movie: In A Dream. Both groups performed at festivals and year-end award shows. They also participated in five SMTOWN LIVE 2022 shows. NCT had 1,847 scheduled events recorded throughout 2022.
