To bring an authentic fashion world, The Fabulous involves people from the industry. Creative consultant Kang Ji Hye, for example, has 20 years of experience and strives to present the fashion world concretely, especially the struggles and ups and downs behind the seemingly glamorous industry.

Designer Minju Kim, the winner of the Next in Fashion competition in 2020, specifically designed a number of outfits for this series. Lee Sang Woon, who plays fashion designer Joseph, discussed with Minju Kim to delve deeper into his character.

Not to be forgotten, model Park Hee Jung, who also plays a role as a model, suggested to The Fabulous fashion team that her old costumes could be used for shooting purposes to make the show feel more authentic.

2. Story of Young Friendship

Highlighting the dynamics of life and the friendship of four young people, The Fabulous is full of youthful energy. Initially, the main characters were awkward with each other because they had just met, but they quickly became close when director Kim suggested that they speak to each other as friends.

Being of similar ages also made it easy for them to understand each other's characters, including the problems faced at that age. The close relationship between the cast continued behind the scenes, such as visiting a photobooth together during breaks from shooting. The photos from those sessions even became props in the series!

3. More than Just a Romantic Comedy

After reading the script for this series, director Kim Jeong-hyeon felt that The Fabulous was not just an ordinary romantic comedy. He added references by watching various fashion documentaries and conducting research and interviews with fashion workers.

This series is also expected to make young viewers feel connected through the portrayal of the struggles of young people who are starting their careers and overcoming challenges to achieve their dreams.

Director Kim said, "I think young viewers will see themselves in this, especially in terms of the importance of having friends when they start becoming members of society. It may be scary at first, but if we are constantly driven by passion and accompanied by friends, everything becomes easier."

4. Famous Actors

In the eyes of director Kim Jeong-hyeon, Chae Soo Bin, who is known for her role in the film Sweet & Sour, is the right choice to play the modern and independent woman Pyo Ji Eun. Rapper/singer Choi Min Ho, who has appeared in Yumi's Cells, Lovestruck in the City, and The Battle of Jangsari, is also expanding his horizons as an actor.

For his role as photographer Woo Min, he learned photography under the guidance of a professional photographer and delved into the intricacies of photography. Lee Sang Woon, who is gaining popularity, is praised by director Kim Jeong Hyeon for his ability to portray the humane character of fashion designer Joseph.

Meanwhile, world-class model Park Hee-jung was deliberately chosen as someone who understands the fashion world very well and can help fellow actors immerse themselves in the industry. "I auditioned with director Kim through Zoom," the model recalled.

"Although I don't remember it, apparently at that time I said, 'I'm a famous model! Choose me!'." It was Park Hee-jung's confidence that ultimately convinced director Kim to choose the model.
