4 Indonesian Names of Super Junior Members, From Leeteuk to Siwon Choosing to be Called Kadir to Mas Agung

It all started from a request from SM Indonesia asking ELF to choose names for their idols. Several names were proposed by ELF, ranging from Kadir, Joko, Tarjo, Asep, and many others.

Not all Suju members have chosen the Indonesian names proposed to them. The first person to choose a name was Leeteuk, the leader who became a pioneer for his friends.

1. Leeteuk Chooses Kadir

It has been a long time since Leeteuk announced that his Indonesian name is Kadir. He announced his chosen name when he was a guest on a radio show.

"Hello, assalamualaikum. My name is Leeteuk. My name is Kadir," said the leader.

However, the reason why Leeteuk chose Kadir is unknown. But he is happy with that name and always uses it when he comes to Indonesia and greets his fans.

2. Eunhyuk Becomes Eko

Meanwhile, Eunhyuk was confused when choosing his Indonesian name. He initially chose the name Joko because it sounds similar to the Korean word 'Johgo', which means 'good'.

The name Joko also reminded Eunhyuk of Jokowi, who is the President of Indonesia. However, he later chose a name starting with 'E' to match his original name.

Finally, Eunhyuk's choice fell on Eko, which means 'first'. He established this name when he was a guest on the KBS Radio World show and reaffirmed his name yesterday during a concert in Indonesia.

3. Donghae Chooses Dimas

When deciding on his Indonesian name, Donghae was with Eunhyuk. He was confused about what name to choose, and he even thought about using the name Tarjo.

But the broadcaster asked if he was sure about his choice, making Donghae confused again. He then changed his choice to Asep and asked what it means. 'Asep means handsome,' the broadcaster said.

However, Donghae still wasn't sure, so he thought again and finally chose the name Dimas. He chose that name because it starts with the same letter, D, as his real name.

4. Siwon Likes Agung

Recently, Choi Siwon announced his Indonesian name. He uploaded his chosen name on Instagram and Twitter, and his choice is Agung.

The ELF fans started calling Siwon by the name Mas Agung, and it became a trending topic on Twitter on Sunday morning, (12/1). However, it is unknown why Siwon chose the name Agung. He only captioned that he likes the name because it has a good meaning.

'Agung means Great Person. Thank you for the good name. The concert was successful because of your love. Now, I miss you. And I hope to meet you more often. Hopefully, we can meet again soon. Full of love @superjunior #elf #indonesia,' he wrote on Instagram and Twitter.
