5 Facts About 'KARADA SAGASHI', The Movie Starring Kanna Hashimoto

Kapanlagi.com - On Friday (27/8), the official Instagram site of Warner Bros Japan announced that they will be producing a horror film. They announced that the beautiful actress Kanna Hashimoto will star in this film. She will play the role of Asuka Morisaki, the main character in the story.

Titled in English as BODY SEARCH, KARADA SAGASHI, it is planned to be released in 2021. The filming process will begin in September in Kitakyushu, Fukuoka Prefecture. So, what are the facts about this horror film starring the rising actress? Let's check it out!

1. Adapted from a Popular Manga

KARADA SAGASHI initially started as a web novel by Welzard on the Everystar website. The story was then adapted into a manga by Katsutoshi Murase. Murase began drawing the story in September 2014.

This manga series was uploaded to the Shonen Jump Shueisha+ website and became the first series to reach over 100 million viewers. The popularity of this manga led to a sequel titled KARADA SAGASHI KAI. The manga has also inspired several short anime that debuted in July 2017.

2. A Horror Story with Mystery Elements

KARADA SAGASHI tells the story of a high school student named Asuka who sees a ghost. The ghost's name is Haruka, and she asks Asuka for help in finding her missing body parts. Of course, Asuka is not alone in this quest as she is assisted by her friends in finding the 8 body parts of Haruka.

In their search for Haruka's body, they are constantly pursued by something called the Red Person. The Red Person will continue to chase anyone who is alone in the school until the school gates. If the person is caught, the Red Person will kill them and scatter their 8 body parts throughout the school.

3. Having a Little Fantasy Spice

As we know, the Red Person will continue to stalk Asuka and her friends as they search for Haruka's body parts. He will kill them. However, the murder is not the end of this story.

Because, if on that day Asuka dies and fails to find one piece of Haruka's body, then she will repeat the day until she succeeds in finding it. Whether she likes it or not, Asuka must succeed in finding Haruka's body parts while avoiding the Red Person so that she doesn't have to repeat the same terrible day.

4. Reunion of the Actress and Director

This adaptation film will be starring actress Kanna Hashimoto and directed by Eiichiro Hasumi. Eiichiro has previously directed RESIDENT EVIL: INFINITE DARKNESS and live-action version of ASSASSINATION CLASSROOM.

As most people know, Kanna Hashimoto has played Ritsu in the live-action ASSASSINATION CLASSROOM. KARADA SAGASHI will be their first reunion after 6 years.
