8 K-Pop Idol Groups with the Most Former Members, Some Reach Dozens of People

However, the following K-Pop groups have a large number of former members. There are so many former members that they can form a new K-Pop group. Who are they? Let's take a look.

1. Kiwi Band

Kiwi Band which was active between 2014 and 2018 only had 2 members when they disbanded. Not much is known about this group because they did not release many works, but it is clear that 10 members left at different times throughout Kiwi Band's career.

2. HINT

The group, previously known as TURAN, originally debuted with 7 members. However, 5 members left within a few months and were replaced by 4 others.

Over the next few years, the lineup of this group changed several times until they reached their current formation with 5 existing members (Hyejin, Ar Ra, Cherry, Haesol, and Nael). They then continued their career under a new name, HINT. This group has a total of 10 former members.

3. Underdog

Boy group Underdog only lasted from 2013 to 2017 and lost many members throughout their career. The number of Underdog members decreased to 4 by the time they disbanded.

These four members joined in 2016, and 3 of them (Kain, Baekjin, and Iro) have now joined Hi5 although it is unclear whether they are preparing for a debut or not. In total, there were 11 members who left when this group disbanded.

4. XING

Old K-Pop group XING made their debut in 2006 and disbanded in 2009. During their three-year career, they lost a total of 13 members.

Fortunately, many of them later joined new groups, including Kevin (previously from U-KISS), Kibum (previously from U-KISS), Junhyung (previously from BEAST/HIGHLIGHT), and many others who formed a new group called The Boss.

5. Pure/Pure Boy/Pure L/Naughty Boys/NTB

This boy group not only experienced many member changes, but also changed their name multiple times. Now this boy group is known as NTB and has 6 members after going through a lineup change that ended with 14 former members.

They were initially introduced in 2011 as PUREBOY with 11 members, but the group continued to change even before their first release and continued to change over the years until now.

6. LPG

LPG is a female group that made their debut in 2005 with 4 members. This group is unique because some of its members were beauty contest participants.

LPG went through three different generations of members. The first generation was between 2005 and 2009 (only 2 members remained before 2009), then 6 new members joined as the second generation at different times between 2009 and 2012. Lastly, the third generation, consisting of 10 members, joined around 2013 but only 3 remained when they disbanded.

7. APeace

Boy group APeace initially debuted in 2010 as a group named Double B 21 because they had 21 members. They re-debuted as APeace in 2011.

Until now, they have 10 active members, with 13 original members who disappeared, 1 original member who is inactive, 2 members who joined later and left, and 1 new member who is currently inactive. In total, there are 17 former members.

8. Leader'S

Last but not least, Leader'S takes the top position for the list of groups with the most former members. This group initially debuted with 8 members in early 2011, but in October of the same year, their agency TGN Entertainment announced that Leader'S would be revamped into a group consisting of 24 members divided into 3 sub-units.

By the time they disbanded in 2015, they only had 5 remaining members. This group had so many members joining and leaving that they ended up with 36 former members.
