Asked About the Difference Between Being a Solo Singer and a Member of EXO, Here's Kai's Answer

Kapanlagi.com - Before releasing his solo debut MV Kai EXO titled Mmmh, SM Entertainment held a press conference hosted by Baekhyun EXO. That's where Kai answered various questions about his experience starting his career as a solo singer.

As we know, this is a first-time experience for Kai EXO since his debut as an idol 8 years ago. Of course, there are differences he feels when starting something new like this.

"What differentiates Kai the solo singer from Kai EXO in terms of music or appearance?" asked Baekhyun EXO who played the role of MC this morning.

1. More Focused on Himself

Upon hearing that, Kai from EXO admitted that this album made him more focused on his own musical taste. Unlike when he was with EXO, he had to share everything with the members.

"I like EXO's music, but for my solo album, I can focus on the music that truly interests me, even for style, concept, and others. And through this solo, I can focus more on myself because I am surrounded by dancers, not EXO members who usually accompany me," he answered.

2. Meaning of the Album Title KAI

Previously, Kai also revealed the philosophical meaning behind the choice of the album title KAI. According to its meaning, Kai feels that KAI is truly suitable to be his debut solo album.

"This is the beginning of my career as a solo singer. And 'KAI' means 'to open'. And I think it will be great to name it after my own name and to be more open to fans or listeners who may not know EXO or me. I feel that it is impactful," Kai expressed.
