Bae Suzy Feels More Satisfied with Her Career as an Actress than as a K-Pop Idol

On June 4th, Suzy conducted an interview with Wikitree ahead of the release of her latest film titled WONDERLAND. In this film, Bae Suzy acts alongside Park Bo Gum, which tells the story of a reunion with loved ones through the video call service Wonderland and brings back the deceased using AI technology.

Bae Suzy herself initially debuted as a member of the girl group Miss A under JYP Entertainment in 2010. She then started to venture into the acting world through the KBS2 drama DREAM HIGH alongside IU and actor Kim Soo Hyun. In 2017, the girl group Miss A disbanded and Suzy continued to pursue a solo career, but leaned more towards acting.

"Sometimes my memories feel very vague, so I often ask myself 'Why could I be at that point?'" she expressed. She also revealed that her past career is not something to be regretted.

Bae Suzy also mentioned that her current level of satisfaction with her life as an actress is much higher compared to when she was an idol. She revealed that when she was pursuing a career as an idol, she didn't have any free time and the environment was highly competitive.

"I didn't have the opportunity to reflect on my life and my future," she said. However, she also expressed that her journey as an idol is not something to be regretted. There are many struggles and enjoyable stories that she can cherish for a lifetime.
