Along with the release of the album LIKE WATER, SM Entertainment held a press conference. Not alone, Wendy Red Velvet was accompanied by Joy Red Velvet who served as the MC and asked several questions about her solo album.

1. Differences Between Solo and Group

Starting a solo career for the first time, Wendy from Red Velvet certainly feels the differences. Usually, she is always involved in projects with the group members, but now she has to position herself as a solo singer in the album LIKE WATER.

"As a member of Red Velvet, together with the group, I try to show and express the colors of Red Velvet. But because this is the beginning of my solo career, I keep thinking about the best way to fully show my own colors and myself," Wendy said.

2. Ready to Compete with Vocal Quality

Realizing that she is in the midst of other successful idols who release solo albums, Wendy is convinced that she has a different color. Wendy believes that she is capable of competing with her unquestionable vocal abilities.

"Many solo artists do it well, and I want to learn from them and show a new side of myself as a solo artist. But at the same time, I still want to maintain the color of my group, so I really think about these things," Wendy said.

She continued, "So, Wendy from Red Velvet and Wendy as a solo artist are the same person. I think my strength is giving my best by trying not to lose my color and style. With this album, I want to convey a written message through my vocals."
