BTS's Global Success, Bang Si Hyuk Receives Pony Chung Innovation Award

Kapanlagi.com - The founder, co-CEO, and veteran producer of Big Hit Entertainment, Bang Si Hyuk, has been selected as the recipient of the 14th annual Pony Chung Innovation Award. The Pony Chung Innovation Award has been organized by the Pony Chung Foundation since 2007. This award is designed to promote positive change and societal growth in Korea by selecting some of the greatest innovators of their time.

There have been a number of names who have previously won this award, including Ban Ki Moon, former Secretary-General of the United Nations; Kim Yuna, figure skater who won the gold medal at the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics; Kim Beom Su, chairman of the board of directors of Kakao, Inc.; and others.

Kim Chul Soo, the chairman of Pony Chung Foundation, stated that the reason for Bang Si Hyuk's selection as the awardee is none other than his achievements in the Korean music industry. Through his hard work, Bang Si Hyuk has also successfully competed with other world-class major companies.

"Chairman Bang Si Hyuk has demonstrated the power of Korean content worldwide as one of the most influential individuals in the global music industry today. He has made history in Korean pop culture with his work, including forming BTS, which has achieved tremendous success worldwide. He has proven himself successful as an entrepreneur after his company, Big Hit Entertainment, was selected as one of the most innovative companies in the world alongside Snap, Microsoft, and Tesla," revealed Kim Chul Soo as quoted from Soompi.

2. Achievements of Bang Si Hyuk

In the past 10 years, Bang Si Hyuk has repeatedly won awards in various prestigious events. He has won awards as a songwriter and best producer, all achieved by this man born on August 9, 1972.

The latest achievement for Bang Si Hyuk was winning the Producer of the Year award at the Seoul Music Awards in 2018; Best Executive Producer of the Year at the Mnet Asia Music Awards in 2016, 2018, and 2019; as well as Producer of the Year at the Golden Disk Awards in 2017 and 2020.
