The news of the closeness between Daesung BIGBANG and Heo Youngji KARA suddenly became a hot topic among K-Pop fans. The rumor emerged after the two were seen attending the MAMAMOO concert together in Seoul last weekend.

Photos and videos circulating on social media show Daesung and Heo Youngji sitting side by side while watching the MAMAMOO world tour concert titled FORWARD (4WARD) held at the Olympic Hall, Olympic Park, Seoul. It didn't take long for their appearance together to spark speculation that the two are in a special relationship.

The rumor was immediately denied by Daesung's agency. On Monday (22/6/2026), a representative from R&D Company confirmed to the Korean media that the relationship between Daesung and Heo Youngji is nothing more than a close working relationship.

"They are just close colleagues," the agency stated briefly, dismissing the dating rumors that had begun to circulate on the internet.

According to the agency's explanation, the snippets of photos and videos circulating do not show the full situation at the location. In fact, Daesung and Heo Youngji did not arrive alone. Hyojung from OH MY GIRL was also there watching the concert with them.

Because most of the posts focused only on Daesung and Heo Youngji, many netizens ended up thinking that the two were enjoying a date together. In reality, the meeting was just a casual gathering with fellow artist friends.

The agency also explained that Daesung and Heo Youngji already know each other quite well. The two are known to have collaborated through a program owned by Daesung, which allowed their relationship to develop into a close friendship.
