In this video, directors Hong Won Ki and Kim Jun Hong answer a curious AYO commentator's question about the mystery of K-Pop idols not sweating. "It's truly amazing that [idols] don't sweat at all in MVs. Do they also spray deodorant on their faces?" wrote the commenter, as reported by Koreaboo.

Responding to this question, ZANYBROS revealed that idols also sweat, and it can be really bad. It's because idols have to do choreography repeatedly under dozens of bright and hot studio lights. However, fans cannot see it thanks to the magic of cinematography.

"They sweat a lot," said Hong Won Ki.

Furthermore, Hong Won Ki revealed that part of the illusion of being sweat-free is done during the MV shooting process. The staff constantly powder the idols' faces to prevent them from shining due to sweating.

Kim Jun Hong added that the stylist has to do touch-ups for every shot to prevent clumping of the idol's makeup. After shooting, the MV production company goes through an editing process to remove sweat marks in the final MV.
