1. First Cooking Session: Surprisingly Easy Tteokbokki

Jun Chef and Pochajjang invite KLovers to cook two popular menus that often appear in Korean dramas, namely tteokbokki and sundubu jiggae at KapanLagi Korean Festival. The first menu cooked is tteokbokki. For those who often watch Korean dramas or enjoy Korean cuisine, you must be familiar with this one dish.

Cooking tteokbokki itself is actually very easy. Jun Chef reveals the ingredients such as tteok, vegetables, gochujang or chili paste, and chili powder. The cooking method is also not as complicated as you might think.

Prepare a non-stick pan, turn on the stove, and pour enough water. Add tteok, gochujang, and chili powder in a 1:1 ratio, sugar according to taste, and a little soy sauce. Next, add 1 tablespoon of chopped garlic for aroma and flavor. Then add the chopped carrots, large-cut spring onions, and onions. Also add cabbage for a crunchy texture, and finally add odeng. Stir until cooked, and the tteokbokki is ready.

2. Next Menu: Sundubu Jjigae

Not yet finished drooling over tteokbokki, Next Chef Jun invites viewers to cook sundubu jjigae. This dish is a main menu that is often eaten during cold or rainy weather and enjoyed with rice. The ingredients for making sundubu jjigae are also easy. Prepare beef, tofu, mushrooms, squid or any seafood according to taste, vegetables, chili powder, cooking oil, salt, and pepper.

It's very easy to make. Prepare a pot on the stove, pour 1.5 tablespoons of cooking oil, ½ tablespoon of chili powder and sauté, add a little soy sauce. Next, chop the beef, put it in the pot, sauté over low heat. Add water, stir the meat until cooked. Cut the vegetables according to taste, add them. Next, add 1 tablespoon of chopped garlic, mushrooms, and chopped green onions. Add the cut squid, add a little pepper and salt. Add pieces of green and red chili peppers to enhance the aroma. Finally, add the tofu and cut it into large pieces when it's already in the pot.
