[Exclusive Interview] WEi Talks About the First Impressions of the Members Who Are Very Different - RUi's Love That Touches Their Hearts

Kapanlagi.com - WEi confirms their comeback with the mini album IDENTITY : Challenge released today, February 24, 2021. KapanLagi Korea had the opportunity to do an exclusive interview with JANG DAE HYEON, KIM DONG HAN, YOO YONG HA, KIM YO HAN, KANG SEOK HWA, and KIM JUN SEO.

The WEi members answered questions that have also made RUi, the WEi fans, curious. Not to mention, they greeted RUi Indonesia through this video greeting.

WEi also shared stories about how fans truly support and give them a lot of love. There is also a special message for RUi Indonesia from our beloved members. Check out the complete interview below.

What is different before and after debuting with WEi?

JANG DAE HYEON: We became more mature both internally and externally. I also have a greater responsibility now.
KIM DONG HAN: I am no longer lonely.
YOO YONG HA: RUi, which is my pride, is always by my side.
KIM YO HAN: I met RUi.
KANG SEOK HWA: Our teamwork has become stronger and we all work hard to show a better WEi.
KIM JUN SEO: I finally found people who are the same as me. I am very happy.

What was the first impression of each member when they first met?

Who is the most different and why?

JANG DAE HYEON: I think everything is actually softer than the first impression. KANG SEOK HWA is the most different.
KIM DONG HAN: JANG DAE HYEON looks cold, but he's actually very kind.
YOO YONG HA: I thought JANG DAE HYEON was scary because he looked cold. KIM DONG HAN is very tall. KIM YO HAN looked cool when wearing his blue coat. KANG SEOK HWA is like a little chick. KIM JUN SEO looked innocent. JANG DAE HYEON is the most different because I realized he also has a careless side.
KIM YO HAN: When I first saw YOO YONG HA, I thought he was like an idol.
KANG SEOK HWA: KIM YO HAN. He paid attention to me by giving me caramel candy, but I was a little scared maybe because he is famous as an athlete.
KIM JUN SEO: I thought YOO YONG HA was charismatic, but I was wrong. He is often scared and easily sheds tears.

What is the most unforgettable thing after 100 days of your debut?

JANG DAE HYEON: Every moment I spent with RUi will not be forgotten.
KIM DONG HAN: Our debut showcase.
YOO YONG HA: WEi's debut stage.
KIM YO HAN: Our debut showcase.
KANG SEOK HWA: If I had to choose, our debut showcase.
KIM JUN SEO: Until now, I still can't forget the nervous feeling during the showcase.

What do you hope for in the next 100 weeks?

JANG DAE HYEON: I want to perform at a concert in front of fans.
KIM DONG HAN: The end of COVID-19.
YOO YONG HA: Enjoying performances together with RUi.
KIM YO HAN: Face-to-face fan meeting with RUi.
KANG SEOK HWA: I hope the next 100 weeks will be a time for WEi to continue to improve in the future and share WEi with more people.
KIM JUN SEO: I hope I can stay healthy.

WEi is gaining attention in Indonesia, what do you want to say to fans here?

JANG DAE HYEON: Thank you for continuously supporting us even from afar. Saranghamnida.
KIM DONG HAN: I want to meet you all soon!
YOO YONG HA: Thank you for always paying attention to us. We will repay it with better performances.
KIM YO HAN: As long as we can't meet in person, thank you for always supporting and giving us strength, RUi.
KANG SEOK HWA: RUi Indonesia! Thank you very much. We will give you as much strength as you give us.
KIM JUN SEO: Thank you for the incredible love you give us. I love you, RUi Indonesia!

What kind of music does WEi want to convey to fans?

JANG DAE HYEON: I think we are slowly finding our own color now.
KIM DONG HAN: Whether it's black or any other color, I want this to be WEi's color.
YOO YONG HA: White. Because it will still look beautiful when mixed with any color.
KIM YO HAN: Rainbow.
KANG SEOK HWA: I think it's a color where each of our personalities can come together as one.
KIM JUN SEO: Rainbow, because I want to show everything to RUi!

What is the most unforgettable memory with RUi or their support for you?

JANG DAE HYEON: In my opinion, every moment. Maybe when we meet at the concert?
KIM DONG HAN: When I received a letter full of sincerity.
YOO YONG HA: A letter from RUi!
KIM YO HAN: I like the moments of video call fansign.
KANG SEOK HWA: I am grateful whenever RUi continues to support us on social media or when protecting us from hateful comments.
KIM JUN SEO: Every time RUi tells me every reason, what makes them like me, and this really touches me.

Like KIM YO HAN, do other WEi members also want to act?

JANG DAE HYEON: I don't want to.
KIM DONG HAN: I don't want to.
YOO YONG HA: If given the opportunity, I will prepare for it.
KIM YO HAN: I have already ventured into the acting world thanks to a good opportunity.
KANG SEOK HWA: I also want to try acting if given the opportunity.
KIM JUN SEO: I also want to. I want to try acting with dialect.

If not an idol, what would your current activities be?

JANG DAE HYEON: I think I would be an office worker or start my own business.
KIM DONG HAN: Maybe a regular student.
YOO YONG HA: A barista!
KIM YO HAN: I will continue my path as a taekwondo athlete.
KANG SEOK HWA: I have always been interested in music, but if not an idol, I think I would choose to be a makeup artist or designer.
KIM JUN SEO: My dream was to become a science professor, so I think I would study diligently and go to college.

You guys like to share selfies, what is your favorite pose?

JANG DAE HYEON: I like taking photos while pushing my cheeks.
KIM DONG HAN: The 'V' pose.
YOO YONG HA: Pointing at the cheek.
KIM YO HAN: The 'V' pose.
KANG SEOK HWA: When taking a selfie, I think the 'V' pose looks the best among all poses.
KIM JUN SEO: I like the 'V' or heart shape.

If you guys go to Indonesia, what food would you most like to try?

JANG DAE HYEON: Roast pig and fried rice.
KIM DONG HAN: I have tried roast pig before and it was very delicious.
YOO YONG HA: I also want to try roast pig.
KIM YO HAN: Fried rice!
KANG SEOK HWA: I want to try fried rice.
KIM JUN SEO: I want to try roast pig. I love meat!

For the album IDENTITY: Challenge, WEi has prepared tracks that will make RUi fall in love. The first track, which is also the title track, is All Or Nothing (Prod.JANG DAE HYEON) where the members also participated in the production process. As the title suggests, JANG DAE HYEON was involved as a producer and also wrote the lyrics, while KIM DONG HAN and KANG SEOK HWA were also directly involved in the lyrics. For the next track, there is Breathing, Dancing In The Dark, Diffuser where KIM JUN SEO was involved in writing the lyrics, and finally there is Winter, Flower.
