Kapanlagi.com - DEATH'S GAME is one of the dramas that has received a lot of attention. Besides its exciting story, the cast is also top-notch. There are Seo In Guk, Park So Dam, Kim Ji Hoon, Choi Siwon, Oh Jung Se, Kim Jae Wook, Lee Do Hyun, Go Youn Jung, Lee Jae Wook, and others.

KapanLagi Korea recently had the opportunity to interview the two main actors of DEATH'S GAME, Seo In Guk and Kim Ji Hoon, from Prime Video. And here are their answers to the questions asked by KapanLagi!

1. First Question

How do you feel about being part of a project with many stars? Are there any interesting moments when all the cast of DEATH'S GAME gathered at a recent press conference?

Kim Ji Hoon:
I had a lot of expectations working with many great actors and actresses, but I also had concerns. It is true that I thought there might be sudden acting competition. However, rather than thinking about competitiveness and the desire to win, the thought of not being a burden in this project is stronger. This is a great series and as an actor who gets a good role, I hope it can be perfect as a great work. So I study my character seriously, take care of myself during the filming period, and try not to deviate too much from the character. When all the stars gathered for the first time at the press conference, some of them met for the first time and I thought it would be awkward, but I think we had a lot of warm conversations. Specifically, two actresses Go Youn Jung and Park So Dam, and because I am the oldest at the press conference, I felt that I could handle it well in a friendly atmosphere because they gave good reactions with a heart that always supports when I speak.

Seo In Guk:
Because the content of this drama is related to reincarnation, there is not much shooting with many actors in one frame. However, in my opinion, it is a great honor to be able to work hard together with many people in this project.

2. Second Question

What message do you think DEATH'S GAME wants to convey to the audience?

Kim Ji Hoon:
The message of this drama is simple and powerful. Like the writing after the last episode, 'There is only you in this world', where every life is precious and valuable. And also our mothers live sacrificing themselves for their children.

Seo In Guk:
The importance of living as oneself and the importance of someone's life. I hope the audience can feel the message of this series as I do.

3. Third Question

DEATH'S GAME has gained tremendous popularity in many countries outside of South Korea, including Indonesia. What are your thoughts on the global popularity of this series?

Kim Ji Hoon:
This is a result that I didn't dare to predict, but I hoped for. From the moment I read the script, the story was very interesting and had many genres, great stars who fit their characters perfectly, showing a good casting, so I have enough reasons why you should watch this. However, in the end, according to me, the message and emotions conveyed when watching the last episode can make many people sympathize, regardless of country or race, except for example if I was born without a mother. As I hoped, many people in the world show interest and love. I feel proud and grateful.

Seo In Guk:
I feel grateful (then laughs).

4. Fourth Question

Of the 12 characters in this series, who left the most profound impression?

Seo In Guk:
In my opinion, the most influential ending was the last one. When I reincarnated as the last person, I felt brutally punished and realized Yi Jae's regret for his wrong choice.

5. Fifth Question

You acted the most with Park So Dam. What is your opinion of her and how does it feel to shoot in a dark atmosphere?

Seo In Guk:
It was enjoyable to work with Park So Dam. She had many concerns during the preparation for 'Death', and I was the one being punished by her, so I also felt worried. But I am proud of our acting scenes in the 'Death' nest. I felt there was synergy there. The scenes were indeed dark, but the lighting team worked hard, so I am grateful to them for the smooth shooting.

6. Sixth Question

Playing the antagonist character in DEATH'S GAME, what do you think about your character? And does playing that character help you develop as an actor?

Kim Ji Hoon:
It's always difficult to play the villain character. Both physically and mentally. Especially since I've played villain characters several times, I pay more attention to the differences in acting compared to previous characters when getting into this character. At the same time, the character may not be realistic (because it's from a webtoon), but I want to make it look as real as possible. Because the audience can feel scared of this character when the character steps into the real world. Specifically, in this adaptation process, there is a risk that the character may not be as smooth as in the original work, but this character has a connection to almost every role in the series, so I pay more attention to that part. This series is very challenging for me. But, always, the experience of creating that character's difficulties so that it can be felt naturally by many people is a great happiness for an actor and also becomes an asset for that actor. No matter how difficult it is, I feel like I can grow more.

7. Thank you to Seo In Guk and Kim Ji Hoon. For those who haven't watched or want to re-watch, you can watch it only on Prime Video!
