Experiencing Back and Knee Injury, Rowoon SF9 Must Go on Hiatus

The agency stated that this hiatus decision was made after Rowoon underwent a medical examination. To prevent his condition from worsening, Rowoon must completely rest from excessive physical activities.

"On the evening of July 15, while carrying out scheduled activities for SF9 as a group, Rowoon complained of back and knee pain. After undergoing a thorough examination at the hospital on the morning of July 16, the doctor advised him to avoid intense movements, including their latest choreography. The doctor also added that his physical condition would worsen if he exerted too much force on his body," said FNC Entertainment as quoted from Kstarlive.

Furthermore, FNC Entertainment revealed that Rowoon's participation in SF9's schedule will be adjusted until he fully recovers. They promised to ensure that Rowoon can participate in the promised events for fans except for activities accompanied by intense choreography.

Rowoon's hiatus also affected the planned virtual concert on August 8. The concert titled NOOB CON will be temporarily postponed to showcase SF9's best performance with complete personnel.

Following the announcement from FNC Entertainment, Rowoon personally contacted fans through SF9's official fan cafe. He wrote a letter that contains an apology and an explanation about his health condition. Here is the content of Rowoon's letter:

Lately, I have been very grateful because we were able to promote our first comeback in 5 months. Thank you for the incredible support and attention you always show us. It's difficult to deliver this unpleasant news.
Yesterday, after performing on a music show, I experienced back pain during a group photo; eventually, I went to the hospital this morning. I was told that the cause of the pain is due to a past back injury. After serious discussions with the doctor and the company, it was decided that I should stop promotional activities involving dancing.
I sincerely apologize to my colleagues and all of you. I wanted to repay your waiting by showing my good side, but instead, I can't. During the recovery period, I may not be able to perform, but I will do my best to fulfill my promise to all of you. I will do my best to recover and become healthy again."
