"First, I really miss the fans and everything. I started preparing for this album on the day I finished my military service because I wanted to meet fans as soon as possible. SUHO then explained a little about his second album, including the song genres and which season it would be suitable for.

"GREY SUIT is a mini album consisting of six songs, including the title track. This album features various genres such as modern rock, Britpop, and rock ballad, all of which come from the sound of bands that I like and enjoy listening to. It's an album that's perfect for the spring season," he said.

2. Feeling Some Pressure

As previously mentioned, GREY SUIT is SUHO's first album after completing his military service and it's definitely something special. So what does he want to show through this album? And does the EXO leader feel any pressure?

"Honestly, there's no pressure, and I'm very happy to be working on my music. It feels amazing to be able to express what I want to say for two years through music. But yes, I started to feel a little pressure when I started preparing because I was thinking about the fans who would listen to my songs. Initially, I just thought about doing what I wanted to do, but then considering the melody, instruments, and lyrics that fans like, that's where I felt pressured. Although I eventually felt some pressure, the most important thing is that I want to show that this album is my ability to create my own genre," SUHO explained.

3. Reasons for Choosing 'Time' as the Theme

Just FYI, 'time' is the theme for GREY SUIT album this time. SUHO then explained the special reason why he chose it for his second album.

"It was a PR for me to find out how I spent my time for one year and nine months. I kept it in a diary or notes and wrote down anything I wanted to say, and it turned out that I became obsessed with the word 'time'. I thought about how I should spend my time until I finished my mandatory military service and started thinking about the best way to prepare an album. I feel that time is something that I can honestly talk about since I have spent a lot of time thinking about it, that's why I decided on the theme of 'time'," SUHO explained his philosophy of time.

4. No Vocal Warm-up

Of course, there are many things that SUHO had to do while preparing for this album. He also talked about what was the main focus during the making of GREY SUIT.

"I paid a lot of attention to the sound of musical instruments because even if the sound of electric or acoustic guitars is the same, a guitar with many high notes and a guitar with low notes are actually different. For example, the song 'Decanting' has a lot of high-pitched sounds from guitar notes to show the movement of water in a glass. For the songs 'Grey Suit' and 'Morning Star', I recorded them without any vocal warm-up because I wanted them to sound a little hoarse, so these small sound details were my focus in preparing for GREY SUIT," he explained.

MV Grey Suit was released on Monday afternoon (4/4/2022). Suho explained the important points to be noted in the MV.

"The music video shows SUHO in gray from a world where time has stopped and SUHO in full color from a world where time continues. There are many scenes where there are contrasting visual differences through fashion, makeup, space, lighting, and others. So it's fun to see these contrasting differences from one scene to another. In addition, we also tried to maximize empty space with CG and animation, which is also an interesting point to note as it neutralizes the darkness and depth of the song," he concluded.
