For the BTS Concert, Pramono Anung 'Fights' to Make JIS Venue Arirang Jakarta

Kapanlagi.com - The Governor of DKI Jakarta, Pramono Anung, expressed his desire to bring the BTS concert to Jakarta International Stadium (JIS). He conveyed this during the RKPD 2027 Musrenbang at the Jakarta City Hall on Thursday (16/4/2026).

He admitted that he is still striving for JIS to be the concert location, although other options like GBK Stadium are also being considered. "I really want BTS to perform there. It is still being fought for, whether later at JIS or at GBK," said Pramono, as reported by Metro TV.

1. Challenges to be Addressed

According to Pramono, there are several challenges that need to be addressed, particularly related to transportation access and the availability of parking space for spectators. This is a primary concern given the large scale of international concerts like BTS.

As is known, BTS is scheduled to hold a concert tour titled Arirang in Jakarta at the end of 2026. The South Korean group is set to perform for two days, on December 26 and 27.

2. Pramono's Request to the JIS Director

Previously, Pramono also expressed his optimism that JIS is worthy of being the concert venue. He believes that the stadium facilities are now much more prepared compared to before.

"I have directly asked the JIS Director to make efforts for BTS to perform there on those dates," said Pramono in his statement last January as reported by Liputan6.com!

3. Ensure Access to JIS is Good

Pramono also ensured that access to JIS is now much better. Public transportation such as KRL and TransJakarta is considered to facilitate the mobility of spectators. In addition, the large parking area, including in the Ancol area, is deemed capable of accommodating the needs of visitors.

"Now people will find it easier to come to JIS. Transportation is supportive, parking is also available. This could become a very promising area in the future," he concluded.
