FX, Hulu, and Estate of James Clavell Estate Will Bring the Latest Season of the Award-Winning Popular Series SHOGUN

Kapanlagi.com - FX, Hulu, and Estate of James Clavell will collaborate to continue the story of the award-winning popular series Shogun with two additional seasons. The creative team behind FX's Shogun, including co-creators, executive producers, and writers Justin Marks and Rachel Kondo, executive producer Michaela Clavell, and producer Hiroyuki Sanada, will be involved in the production of this series. The production schedule for this series has not been confirmed, but the writing process and production plans will begin in the middle of this year.

In the first nine weeks of its airing, FX's Shogun became the most-watched series based on the total viewing time worldwide. With a total of 10 episodes, all episodes of FX's Shogun can be watched on Disney+ Hotstar.

Adapted from the bestselling novel by James Clavell, FX's Shogun is a historical drama set in Japan in 1600. Producer Hiroyuki Sanada plays Yoshii Toranaga, a leader who struggles to survive and fight against other political leaders who oppose him. When a mysterious European ship is found on the coast of a local fishing village, an English sailor, John Blackthorne, arrives with a big secret that can help Toranaga face the war.

FX's Shogun is starred by a talented cast of Japanese actors and actresses such as Tadanobu Asano, Hiroto Kanai, Takehiro Hira, Moeka Hoshi, Tokuma Nishioka, Shinnosuke Abe, Yuki Kura, Yuka Kouri, and Fumi Nikaido. This series is developed for television by Rachel Kondo & Justin Marks, with Marks as showrunner and executive producer along with Michaela Clavell, Edward L.McDonnell, Michael De Luca, and Kondo. Shogun is produced by FX Productions.
