The story of THE TRUNK focuses on the world of temporary wedding services, where hidden secrets begin to unravel when a mysterious log emerges from the lake. In the midst of this, there is a unique wedding story between a man and a woman that will leave the audience curious.
Not only is the story captivating, but the two main actors have also become idols among Korean drama lovers, Seo Hyun Jin and Gong Yoo, who are ready to dazzle with their chemistry.
Seo Hyun Jin, who has long been known as the "queen of romance," plays Noh In-ji, a woman with a quiet and mysterious inner life. The actress feels that THE TRUNK has a lot of emotions.
"I think this series touches on emotions that are close to real life. For me, this story feels like it is shrouded in mist," said Seo Hyun Jin at the press conference for THE TRUNK.
She also added, "I try to portray In-ji's emotions simply, without too much expression. I hope this can be felt by the audience."
Meanwhile, Gong Yoo plays Han Jeong-won, a man who is forced to agree to a temporary marriage at the request of his ex-wife, Lee Seo-yeon. He describes this character as someone who is always cautious and difficult to open up.
"Jeong-won is the type of person who does not easily show his feelings. I want the audience to truly feel the depth of his character," said Gong Yoo.
Kim Gyu TAE, the director of THE TRUNK, could not hide his admiration for these two main stars. He praised both of his leading actors for bringing their respective characters to life.
"Their chemistry is amazing, even exceeding my expectations. Seo Hyun Jin's performance is very inspiring, adding a new color to this series. Meanwhile, Gong Yoo, as usual, dazzles with the small details he incorporates into his role," said Kim Gyu Tae.
