The main character, Baek Ki tae (Hyun Bin), is portrayed as a figure with a double life; during the day he is a high-ranking official in the KCIA (Korean Central Intelligence Agency), while at night he is involved in illegal businesses such as smuggling to strengthen his power.

Meanwhile, on the other side is Jang Geon young (Jung Woo sung), an uncompromising prosecutor. He sees Ki tae as a significant threat and is determined to uphold justice despite facing great influence and intrigue.

The conflict between Ki tae and Geon young becomes the central axis of the story, representing a struggle between ambitions that create moral conflicts, friendship, and betrayal.

Hyun Bin as Baek Ki-tae, an ambitious and charismatic figure, uses his position in the KCIA to expand influence and wealth through criminal networks
