The story of THE LEGENDS Chinese drama is an adaptation of the novel titled "Zhao Yao" by Jiu Lu Fei Xiang. Bai Lu, Xu Kai, Dai Xu, and Xiao Yan are the main actors in this series.
The synopsis of THE LEGENDS Chinese drama revolves around Lu Zhao Yao (Bai Lu) who is assigned to protect the demon king's son, Li Chen Lan (Xu Kai). One day, there is an intruder who manages to break through Zhao Yao's defenses, freeing Chen Lan and bringing him into the power of a sect. Fortunately, Zhao Yao manages to save Chen Lan and gives him the name Mo Qing.
However, when Zhao Yao tries to retrieve the Wanjun Sword owned by her predecessor, she is attacked by ten sects and eventually dies. This incident makes Zhao Yao believe that Mo Qing has betrayed her.
Five years later, Chen Lan successfully becomes the leader of the Wanlu Sect. Knowing this, Zhao Yao, who has now become a wandering ghost, wants to seek revenge. To carry out her plan, Zhao Yao takes over the body of Qin Zhi Yan (Xiao Yan), a disciple of the Eternal Sect. With Zhi Yan's body, Zhao Yao finally succeeded in becoming a disciple of Chen Lan. However, her intention to kill Chen Lan did not go according to plan.
Ironically, Zhao Yao ended up falling in love with Chen Lan. Meanwhile, there is Jiang Wu (Dai Xu), an ambitious young man who also wants to kill Chen Lan in order to become the leader of the sect. So, how will this story continue?
