Shocking news from Jeon So-yeon, the leader of (G)I-DLE will temporarily stop all girl group activities due to her declining health condition. Cube Entertainment, the agency of (G)I-DLE, officially announced the announcement regarding the leader's hiatus and was reported by Soompi on June 1, 2024.
Jeon So-yeon is forced to halt all her activities until her health improves. So-yeon has also consulted her condition with a doctor, who advised her to rest a lot until her body condition stabilizes.
Cube Entertainment, as the agency of (G)I-DLE, informed that So-yeon will not only be absent from today's (1/6) fan meeting but will also stop all scheduled activities until her recovery is going well.

The agency of (G)I-DLE has announced some unfortunate news in early June. Cube Entertainment made an announcement that the leader of (G)I-DLE, Jeon So-yeon, has to take a complete break due to her deteriorating health condition.
“We are making an announcement regarding So-yeon's absence from upcoming schedules. Due to her recent declining health, So-yeon visited the hospital, and the doctor informed her that she needs plenty of rest and stability.” according to Soompi on Saturday (1/6) today.

So-yeon really wanted to participate in the offline event YIZHIYU & (G)I-DLE and the special fan event scheduled for today, June 1, 2024. However, due to her worsening condition, So-yeon is forced to not participate in the event and in the future until her condition returns to normal.
“We have decided to temporarily suspend all scheduled activities (for So-yeon) for a while so that she can focus on recovering her health through rest and treatment. As this decision is made considering the artist's health, we ask for the understanding of the fans.” the agency expressed in their official statement.
The agency also apologizes for causing worry to So-yeon's fans due to this sudden news. The agency will also do their best to fully restore So-yeon's health as before.
