Some time ago, Jessi became a topic of conversation in the media and among K-Pop fans after one of her fans was assaulted by a member of the entourage of the singer of the song Zoom. Following the incident, Jessi had to respond to a police summons.

On September 29, 2024, a fan of Jessi, referred to as 'B', experienced an assault incident involving members of Jessi's entourage. The incident occurred around 03:50 KST, where a man from Jessi's entourage assaulted 'B'.
Other members of the group, including Jessi, quickly acted to stop the incident. Jessi herself prevented the Koala producer, one of the group members, from approaching the injured 'B', to prevent further violence.
Shortly after the incident, Jessi, 'A', and the Koala producer were accused of involvement in several offenses, including threats, assault, and concealing the perpetrator. They were also suspected of helping 'A' evade investigation.
On October 16, Jessi was summoned by the police for questioning regarding the allegations. After a thorough investigation, the police decided to clear Jessi of all charges.
Based on the evaluation results, the police found that there was not enough evidence to indicate Jessi's involvement in the assault or threats against the victim. Jessi was also not proven to have assisted the perpetrator in evading investigation.
Meanwhile, the Koala producer will continue to undergo legal proceedings and will soon be brought to court on charges of assault and threats.
Jessi's party expressed hope that 'B' can recover quickly and that this case can be resolved peacefully.
