Jimin BTS Masters Kendo and Holds a Black Belt in Taekwondo, Turns Out His Inspiration is Zoro from 'One Piece'

1. Jimin BTS Learns Kendo for 7-8 Years

In a documentary video in BTS World, a popular game based on the career journey of BTS members from zero to success, it is known that Jimin revealed that he learned Kendo for 7-8 years.

Kendo itself is a Japanese martial art inspired by samurais. This martial art is performed using protective armor and bamboo swords.

In addition to martial arts, Kendo also trains the focus and strengthens the spirit of its players. It's no wonder that his physical and mental as an artist or idol is considered stable.

2. Jimin Inspired by Zoro's Character in 'One Piece'

Still from the video in BTS World, BTS's Jimin revealed that his inspiration to try Kendo martial art was actually because of his love for the anime 'One Piece.'

He greatly idolizes Roronoa Zoro or Zoro, the green-haired character and a friend of Luffy and Sanji, who is skilled in swordplay.

"When I was a child, I really liked anime, especially 'One Piece.' There is a character named Zoro. I think he is very cool," he said while laughing.

"From there, I wanted to become one of the best samurais in the world. Only then did I learn Kendo for 7-8 years," Jimin continued.

3. Jimin Holds Black Belt in Taekwondo

As a Korean citizen, Jimin BTS also does not forget his country's original martial art. Besides Kendo, Jimin is known to be skilled in playing taekwondo. He even holds a black belt in taekwondo like Jungkook BTS.
