Kapanlagi.com - Unfortunate news has come from BLACKPINK. One of its members, Jisoo, has tested positive for COVID-19 after taking a self-test. The news was announced by YG Entertainment, the agency that manages Jisoo and BLACKPINK, on Thursday (June 1, 2023).
Here's a statement from YG:
"We would like to inform you that BLACKPINK member Jisoo was confirmed positive for COVID-19 on June 1. Jisoo took a self-test on May 30 after showing mild flu symptoms. Initially, the result was negative, but it turned out positive on June 1.
Jisoo, who always wants to perform and fulfill her promise to BLACKPINK fans who have been waiting for a long time, decided not to participate in the next concert for her own health and the safety of others."
"Only three members (Jennie, Rose, and Lisa) will perform at the BORN PINK World Tour concert in Osaka, Japan on June 3 and 4. We understand the enthusiasm and how much fans have been waiting for BLACKPINK's performance and will continue to give our best for the planned concert. We ask for your strong support.
We will do our best to ensure Jisoo's recovery as soon as possible, as well as the health and safety of our artists.
We apologize and ask for your understanding once again.
Thank you."
