Just Met, Melly Lee Immediately Comfortable with Hui PENTAGON

Kapanlagi.com - Melly Lee, a graduate of LIDA 2020, was chosen as one of the dangdut singers who collaborated with K-Pop stars in the DANGDUT K-POP 29THER program. Melly was paired with Hui from the PENTAGON Boyband in the program.

Melly is also the only one out of six Indonesian dangdut stars who have undergone collaboration shooting for the program. So how does Melly feel about collaborating with Hui PENTAGON?

"This is an extraordinary experience that not many people get. Fortunately, Melly is a K-Pop fan. When I got this program, wow, I was so happy to meet oppa Hui. He is very handsome. Oppa Hui suggested that it's okay to call him oppa, he is very welcoming. He greeted me with excitement. There are so many impressions during my time in Korea," said Melly at SCTV Tower, Jakarta, on Tuesday (24/10/2023).

1. Sempat Overthinking

Before coming to Korea, Melly said she had many fears. However, those fears disappeared when she met and got to know Hui's friendly personality.

"At first, I was afraid to go there, afraid that the Korean people wouldn't accept dangdut music well. I had many worries, afraid of making mistakes, afraid of failing, afraid that I couldn't give my best. But it turned out to be beyond expectations. Hui oppa was very welcoming, he tried to chat with Melly, and he also gave Melly encouragement during every shoot," she said.

Melly admitted that she felt awkward when she first met Hui. However, after that, she no longer felt that way.

"The first time I met oppa, I felt a bit awkward but on the second day of shooting, it felt like we had known each other for a long time, even though we spoke different languages. Melly felt comfortable," she said.

2. Coming Soon on Indosiar

After eight days in Korea, Melly admitted that she not only filmed a singing collaboration with Hui. Melly is also eagerly awaiting her collaboration with Hui PENTAGON to be aired on Indosiar.

"There, besides singing, we also filmed our daily activities. So Melly found out about oppa and he did the same. We had a chat, it was fun," she said.

"I consider this the best collaboration, truly new and unprecedented. I really want to show what Melly's collaboration with oppa Hui looks like," she added.
