Just Revealed, Lee Dong Wook Once Afraid to Leave the House for Almost 3 Months Because of This

Kapanlagi.com - Lee Dong Wook opens up about himself in an interview with W Korea magazine on Tuesday (19/5). It was reported that previously Lee Dong Wook had said that he almost never felt satisfied with his own work.

Responding to this issue, Lee Dong Wook admitted that he considered himself inadequate. The actor, who will star in the upcoming tvN drama THE TALE OF GUMIHO, explained that he only behaves realistically.

"The phrase 'You did well' becomes meaningful when others say it. I think I should see myself realistically, but that kind of attitude sometimes makes things difficult. There are times when I should love myself but deliberately choose not to. The agency director sometimes tells me not to be too hard on myself. But I tell them, 'No, I have to fully understand reality. I have to know myself.' Maybe I've come this far because of that," Lee Dong Wook said as quoted by Soompi.

1. Not Brave to Leave the House

Lee Dong Wook added that his realistic nature affects his self-confidence. Therefore, sometimes he feels difficult and even not brave enough to leave the house.

"There are times when I really feel down and just stay at home for two to three months. It happened after the JTBC drama LIFE ended," said Lee Dong Wook.

"I also feel scared to leave the house. I feel like people will only point at me when they see me. I also feel like there's no one on my side. I was so immersed in that feeling until it felt like I was at my lowest point. I didn't meet anyone and just stayed at home or exercised," he continued.

2. Rising from Despair

Time played a part in Lee Dong Wook's recovery from despair. This handsome actor admitted that Gong Yoo also played a role in helping him rise again.

"That's only a part, and when I was drowning in thoughts about what was wrong with me, I was greatly helped by people who encouraged me by saying that I am a good person. Gong Yoo is one of those people. I realized again that the people around us are important even when we are experiencing a crisis and facing difficulties," he concluded.
